Points in the NA server:
We are currently running an urgent maintenance procedure and therefore points updates were delayed by approximately 5 days.
This also caused sync issues between the dashboard and the scoreboard.
This should be corrected in the next few hours and your points should be up-to date by tomorrow.
Map tiles:
We plan to switch the map tiles in the INTLserver by Tuesday, July 31.
After the switch, the map will contains edits made up to July 24.
Concerning the NA tiles infrastructure that we are about to deploy:
Below is Ehud Shabtai’s (CTO & founder at Waze) update in the forum regarding this issue:
(Originally posted here)
We’re working really hard to finish the deployment of the new infrastructure.
As planned, last Sunday we switched all the clients to point to the new infrastructure.
We’ve already started processing all the changes and building new tiles but we have not switched any of them on so you are yet to see any changes. The original plan was to switch to the updated tiles tomorrow but since this is the first time we’re building on the new infrastructure it seems we may need a few more days to fix some stuff in the build process.
The editor is still running on the old infrastructure. The plan is that once we update the tiles, we’ll take down the editor and drive processing for a few hours, do another update cycle of the tiles and then switch the editor to the new infrastructure. At that point you should stop seeing the “sync errors” as all the tiles were built and any past inconsistencies should be gone.
To summarize, we hope to switch the NA tiles by Tuedsay or Wednesday (July 31 or August 1).
The map will then contain edits made up to July 24.
After the tiles are switched, the editor will be down for a few hours as we update the tiles infrastructure of the editor as well. (At that time, the tiles will already be in use in the client)
After this process is done, we expect performance to improve in the editor and a shorter time frame between each map tiles update.
